Partner 3 : CIMAP
CIMAP is a Joint Research Unit between CNRS, ENSICAEN, UNICAEN and CEA involved in investigating interactions of materials with the heavy ions of GANIL,
in research in understanding and improving the properties of materials and finally in photonics.
The investigations will mainly be carried out using our double
Cs corrected 200 KV TEM, which provides 0.8 Å spatial resolution, atomic resolution EDS and EELS. Quantitative X-ray diffraction analysis will be carried out in
order to precisely determine the layers crystalline structure and residual strains.
Modeling of large systems such as heterostructures and devices will be carried
out within the Multiphysics formalism for determining the thermal and electrical properties. The group will also have access to a SIMS equipment,
which is currently being installed in CIMAP for any determination of composition at the doping levels.
